Original Navigation Introduction and Instructions for Use (2) Peugeot 508
[Car skills] This time, we bring you the instructions for using the original navigation system. Our original intention is to provide some convenience for users who have purchased and are about to purchase the actual use of the navigation process. It is explained in a simple and easy-to-understand way through a combination of pictures and text.
Note: It is important to note that the part we have shown is not all the content of the original navigation equipment. It is only about how to use the navigation and the usefulness of some options. We have not introduced some items that are not often used or have nothing to do with navigation.
A 7-inch display screen is designed in the middle of the dashboard, but it is not the more common touch type at present. A control area is designed in front of the armrest box, and circular control buttons can be used for front, back, left, and right directions and confirmation options. On the center display of the dashboard, an arrow will appear to indicate the logo after starting the navigation. Combined with voice prompts, you can navigate without looking at the display screen.
Seeing that the navigation system interface of the Peugeot 508 is very simple, there are no fancy animations and no options, and it is very easy for the average user to get started. Click the NAV button in the control area to enter the navigation menu, and then select through the knob.
Like many factory navigators, the Peugeot 508 system is designed with a split-screen mode. Theoretically, there are three modes, but one of the modes is that no navigation information appears on the screen, so this is not included. So in the remaining two cases, we should call them full-screen mode and split-screen mode.
The scale of the map is one of the most operated items during use. The Peugeot 508 uses a knob control, so it is much more direct than the touch screen system. As long as you rotate the button, you can zoom in and out of the map scale. The maximum is 200km, and the minimum is 50m.
The last thing we need to explain is the choice of map mode. You can find "Map Orientation" in the "Map Management" under the main menu. Click on this item to select the map mode, and there are three options: "North of the front of the car", "North of the map", and "3D perspective". There are many friends who may not be used to the feeling of "3D perspective", but when driving on complex terrain, you will find its function.
