The President of the Chinese Olympic Committee met with Chinese Taipei guests to discuss exchanges and cooperation

On August 19, Chinese Olympic Committee President Liu Peng met in Nanjing with Taiwanese sports leaders including Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee President Lin Hongdao, who came to participate in the Youth Olympic Games.

Liu Peng briefed the guests on the relevant situation of this year’s Youth Olympic Games. On behalf of the Chinese Olympic Committee, he welcomed the Chinese Taipei Youth Sports Delegation to participate and wished Taiwan’s young friends to show their style and harvest friendship at this year’s Youth Olympic Games. Lin Hongdao expressed his gratitude to the Chinese Olympic Committee and the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games Organizing Committee and other relevant parties for their support and assistance to the Chinese Taipei Youth Delegation in participating in the competition. The two sides also exchanged views on issues of common concern such as continuing to consolidate and deepen cross-strait sports exchanges and cooperation.

The Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee of this year’s Youth Olympic Games sent a total of 76 delegations, including 47 athletes, who will participate in 15 competitions and one performance event.
