Chery Automobile held the "Hi iCAR" brand night at the Shanghai Auto Show in April this year and released its brand-new new energy vehicle brand — — iCAR。 On August 1st, the first mass production model of iCAR brand — — ICAR 03 appeared. This model is based on Chery’s latest i-MS multi-element Rubik’s Cube new energy architecture platform, and is positioned in a young pure electric compact SUV. The car is expected to be mass-produced this year and officially delivered for sale.
The style of the whole car is tough, angular and full of "muscle sense". The front face design is simple and powerful as a whole, and the headlights on both sides are connected with the central LOGO area to form an integrated design. The vertical decorative plate in the central LOGO area can improve the overall texture to a certain extent, which is very recognizable. In the grille part, except for an infrared camera in the middle, there are only two lines to highlight the layering, which shows its characteristics as an electric vehicle and unifies the overall design style. The position of the front bumper is blackened and frosted, which looks quite wild and provides certain security for some uncertain road conditions. A straight line on the side of the car body runs through the headlights to the taillights in one go, highlighting the overall sense of coordination, while the door handle adopts a hidden design, which not only enhances the sense of advanced, but also reduces the drag coefficient of the car to a certain extent during driving.
The whole rear part of the car body is designed by contrasting colors, and the design style of the longitudinal taillights is consistent with that of the headlights. The design of the rear tailgate, which looks like a "small table board", is supposed to be a storage device. Another highlight is that the car is provided with a handle at the rear tailgate, so it can be determined that the car is a side-opening tailgate design, which emphasizes the positioning of the hard-core new energy SUV, while the wide rear bumper can give users a certain sense of peace of mind. The new car will provide three different wheel hub shapes, with optional specifications of 18 inches and 19 inches.
According to the information of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the length, width and height of the new car are 4406/1910/1715mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2715mm；; The power is equipped with a motor with a maximum power of 135kW, and the battery is Ferrous lithium phosphate battery. It is expected that the new car will have a good performance in battery life.
